Inspiration

People around the world are misled by information on the internet. We believe this is unfair because everyone deserves access to accurate information.

We created this project to empower individuals to fight against misinformation in the medical field, ensuring no one makes decisions that could drastically change their lives.

What it does

Our Website’s Unique Functionalities

Our website has multiple functionalities designed to empower users and enhance their health awareness.

To start us off, our website aims to help people understand the possible dangers around them before they are affected. Using our AI GPS disease tracker, our website can inform you about the diseases that are prevalent in your area.

Our website also provides information on possible isolation techniques for viruses and over-the-counter medications that can help treat them. We understand that it is best to get information from a trusted provider, so we give clients access to information about doctors in their area who can assist in treating their conditions.

Our AI virus assistant will inform you of what viruses you could potentially have, with proof backing it—unlike some online sources that feed you misinformation. If you would like to ask others in your area for help, you can do so using our online forum, where clients can communicate with healthcare professionals and regular citizens alike!

Overall, our website has many features that make it unique and helpful to the community!

How we built it

We used multiple different languages to build this website. We held all of our code in a shared github, which will be linked later. We also used Glitch.com to see our UI from our HTML, CSS, and JS. We used mongoDB as our database.

Challenges we ran into

We faced a number of challenges while completing this project. Initially, we struggled to find the perfect color scheme that aligned with our vision. Following that, we encountered several issues with our APIs and databases, including age restrictions and other technical hurdles. However, through perseverance and teamwork, we successfully overcame these obstacles and delivered a fully functioning final product!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We take great pride in completing this project within the given time frame. As the deadline approached during the hackathon, we found ourselves racing against the clock to submit our work. Additionally, we are proud of our ability to resolve the issues we faced with the APIs and databases, which had posed significant challenges. Overall, this project stands out as one of our best collective efforts, and we are all extremely proud of what we accomplished!

What we learned

We discovered that effective communication is essential, especially when working across different time zones. While it posed some challenges, we managed to collaborate successfully and complete our project. We also learned that sticking to a single plan isn’t always the best approach; being willing to adapt allowed us to enhance our project significantly. Flexibility proved to be far more beneficial than rigidity!

We would like to publicly host this website and enhance its functionality! We’re eager to gather user feedback on our AI and explore additional features you’d like to see. While the future may be uncertain, one thing is clear: we are fully committed to this project and will continue to push it forward. It has been an adventure so far, but it's an adventure that we want to keep going!
