Inspiration
Our inspiration came from long waits at the doctor's office while the doctor or nurse has to go through multiple portals to pull up our records from an outdated system.
What it does
Health Hacks is a web portal for Doctors to easily view their patient's medical history without the hassle of most hospital systems.
How we built it
We built Health Hacks in Django using python for the backend and angular for the frontend.
Challenges we ran into
We had school projects due this weekend so we couldn't actually start working until close to 10pm, giving us a big disadvantage. We also attempted to use MongoDB, but realized it was not very compatible with Django's built-in relational schema.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we were able to make what we did in such a short amount of time.
What we learned
This is the most robust database we've ever made. We learned to really take advantage of SQL. Additionally, this was our most animated frontend yet.
What's next for Health Hacks
Health Hacks did not have much time to grow during this hackathon, but the next steps would be continuing to add more features and seeking to implement it in real medical practices.
