HEALTH EMERGENCY DETECTION

Inspiration

Living alone increases the risk of unassisted falls or sudden cardiac distress. In remote regions, access to specialized medical equipment is limited. Delayed responses to abnormal vital signs can lead to preventable complications.

What it does

A hardware-based system designed to detect selected health-emergency indicators and immediately alert the user/caregiver through a connected alert mechanism.

How we built it

• Arduino-compatible microcontroller • Heart-rate / pulse sensor • Temperature sensor • Motion/fall detection sensor (accelerometer/gyroscope) • Buzzer and LED for local alerts • Optional communication module for remote notification • C/C++ Arduino programming
