Health Effects of Screen Time in Children

Inspiration

I found my data source on Kaggle.com and chose to analyze Screentime in children because

What it does

My Tableau Next dashboard analyzes average daily screen time and reported negative health effects to help determine what programs or policies may help improve children's health.

How I built it

I uploaded the data from the csv files and created a semantic model. I then used that semantic model to create visualizations and display those visualizations on the dashboard.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge we ran into was that the dimensions we were looking to analyze, such as age and screen time, were numeric categories with several options. To overcome this we created categories for each such as ages 6-10 and 2-4 hours of screen time per day.

What we learned

We learned that Agent Force can be a valuable addition to offer additional insights on a dashboard or give a user the ability to clarify.

What's next for Health Effects of Screen Time in Children

It would be interesting to combine Salesforce flows with the current Tableau Next dashboard to help flag children that should be added to a specific program or send more information to the parents.
