Health Care Application

Inspiration

Over 250,000 people in the U.S. die each year due to medical errors It’s 3th leading cause of death in this country behind heart disease and cancer. Our Goal: Find a better way to resolve any miscommunication between doctors and patients We CAN’T fix all medical errors, but we plan on attacking communication errors.

What it does

A system that can keep track of patients prescriptions and medications. Lets patients know proper dosages and allows for QR code generation to get your prescription at the pharmacy. This tackles communication issues from the doctor all the way to the pharmacy.

How we built it

We built it using HTML, flask and mongo DB

WE ran into connection challenges, and other issue like github connections and more

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our finished product, the styling and what it accomplishes, we are proud of what it can do to help medical professionals

What we learned

First we learned the challenges the medical can face, especially due to errors and how they can harm human life. Some of us learned a lot about backend, database design and just extending out skills.

What's next for Health Care Application

Next we plan on extending this application out to pharmacies where they can keep track of all their medications using this barcode system.
