Inspiration & Problem

Diabetes & Cardiovascular diseases are the root of all evils. Both account for more than 80% of deaths in the world, specifically in the sub-continent Pakistan & India. 18.5M deaths are caused by these fatal diseases. 922M people suffer from these both diseases, majority living in low- and middle-income countries. Average cost per year on the cure of these diseases is 2125B USD worldwide. Most of this is due to not having regular checkups & there's not a handy device for checking your heart and sugar health. I lost my own grandma to diabetes so, I don't want other to suffer.

What it does

It's non-invasive detection of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases without any needle pricks or blood tests. It is painless, fast and cheap. Just take a picture of your clinical opthograph and it'll let you know about any risk to diabetes or cardiovascular diseases.

How we built it

We built it harnessing the power of Microsoft's Cloud Azure. Two apps for two audiences. 1- Mobile Apps for consumers. 2- Web App for organizations like hospitals.

Challenges we ran into

Collecting dataset of high-quality images was a huge challenge, we consulted with Precision Medicine Lab, Rehman Medical Institute, Peshawar they helped us in data acquisition.
