Inspiration

Healthcare services are lacking in many countries (>50% lack essential health services as of 2017) according to the United Nations (UN) With Covid-19 disrupting efforts to ensure everyone can receive proper health care, we were inspired to bring healthcare to the convenience of one’s home Furthermore, we believe that everyone should have access to proper and quality healthcare as part of their basic living needs, so as to not only increase their standard of living but also decrease the number of preventable deaths.

What it does

It targets certain aspects of healthcare UN has been working on (maternal and child health) Uses AR to visually demonstrate the dos and don’ts in maternal and child health Chatbot feature for users to learn tips for healthy living, as well as receive diagnosis for common illnesses, such as the common cold, stomach flu etc Quizzes to test users on how much they’ve learnt which in turn leads to rewards in the form of achievements Emergency contacts for different regions will be displayed according to the country chosen by the user

How I built it

Built it using PowerApps (main software) AR graphics were first designed on Tinkercad and uploaded onto EchoAR Chatbot developed on PowerApps Power Virtual Agent

Challenges I ran into

We used unfamiliar softwares like echoAR and took a long time to figure them out experimented with unfamiliar softwares -- some worked out and some didn't, took up a lot of time

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

CADing the models from TinkerCAD for our app finished our project on time

What I learned

How to use AR and CAD our own 3D models for the app How to use Microsoft chatbox - taught using machine learning (trigger phrases have certain replies)

What's next for healing hearts

Target more aspects of health (such as Tuberculosis and HIV as mentioned by the UN) Collaboration with professional healthcare staff Create more ways in which healthcare can be made more accessible to users Simple exercises for users to do to help maintain physical fitness and mental well-being Addition of forum page to allow users to post questions to other community users as well as professional medical staff
