HealHub Project Journey

Inspiration

The inspiration for HealHub struck close to home when a team member's father faced a critical case of gangrene in 2019. The initial misinterpretation of the symptoms as a normal wound delayed proper treatment. This experience highlighted the need for an effective diagnostic tool to detect gangrene at an early stage.

Learning

The challenges faced by the family in finding a specialized doctor and the severity of the situation motivated us to develop a solution. We learned about the critical importance of early detection and specialized medical intervention.

Project Development

HealHub was conceived as a solution to empower individuals with an AI model that predicts gangrene and differentiates it from ulcers. Users can upload pictures of affected areas, enabling early detection and intervention. We faced challenges in gathering a comprehensive dataset but remained dedicated to our mission.

Challenges

The primary challenge was assembling a diverse and comprehensive dataset for the AI model. Overcoming this obstacle required collaboration with medical professionals and specialists.

Proud Achievements

HealHub aims to save lives by providing early detection and facilitating timely medical intervention. We take pride in our progress and are working on integrating features like doctor suggestions and appointments directly into the website.
