Inspiration

Financial literacy is an essential skill to learn in 21st century in order to survive in the competitive world. However in the traditional families, children aren't able to learn much about it due to customs. Discord is currently the platform with majority of users being teenagers. BigBuddy bot helps these young minds to discover the fun of learning financial literacy.

What it does

BigBuddy is a Discord bot that is specifically been designed for ages 8 to 16 to learn financial literacy by doing various activities and challenges with leaderboard that motivates them.

How we built it

The project was initiated at the Discord Developer Portal. For coding, Glitch Platform was used (JavaScript was the language).

Challenges we ran into

The video recording was a big challenge. There were many code errors which had to be resolved time to time in these few days.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Amidst the problems I faced, I successfully uploaded my project. Also, this Hackathon helped me to apply my knowledge and use it for practical purposes.

What we learned

I learnt to use a programming language effectively to make a tech-based project.

What's next for BigBuddy

Further updates will be added to the bot and would try to make the bot more appealing. Also, an attempt would be made to increase the bot's capability.
