Inspiration

Vaccination is one of the hottest topics our days, as it is crucial for health protection in a current situation. We wanted to create a simple but powerful tool allowing to simplify vaccination management in a current situation and also allowing to universally use it in the future.

People all around the world were affected by travel restrictions, so it's important to be able to get actual data about travel requirements and this functionality was also incorporated into the application.

Travel restrictions can become and additional driver to vaccinate for people who are still unsure if they are ready to make a vaccination or not.

What it does

Heal App is an app that helps organize the mass vaccination process for citizens. Users can register for vaccinations, annual health checkups and always be informed about mandatory vaccinations for travel, all information about vaccinations is stored in the digital passport on the phone.

How we built it

Heal App was implemented with a Pega App Studio, which is simplified an implementation process and allowed to concentrate on a user experience.
UI and UX are the key parts of client-facing applications, luckily they are easy to build with a Pega rich UI and out-of-the-box support for mobile.

One of the main goals was to build an application with strong core functionality and extendable process, it was achieved with a Pega case designer and a three-pillar approach.

A flexible case structure was created to support a variety of user scenarios. Base case type Checkup allows to sign up for a visit, it may be used to manage yearly health checkups, it may be also used to register for other types of appointments, like PCR Test. Checkup case type was extended by a Vaccination case type that is allowing to sign-up for Vaccination and manage it.

The vaccination process contains extension points for a checklist and feedback steps to adopt process automation to concrete needs of a medical agency.

A flexible data model was configured to allow manage various activities, disease, vaccinations, and their parameters. Data Explorer would allow to manage corresponding data dictionaries.

Dangers can be arranged by priority to show most important first; this order can be flexibly configured with multiple parameters using Decision Table that can combine common parameters like dates based seasons with a Users parameters if a suggestion needs to be tailored to the concrete risk categories.

What's next for Heal App

App provides a robust foundation for vaccination functionality. It can be easily tailored to a concrete process specific to Medical Agencies and integrated with the desired sources of data.

Great Customer Experience with Pega Ecosystem

Heal App provides an opportunity to streamline and evolve the public vaccination process for public services. The flexibility of the Pega platform allows you to expand and adapt basic mechanics such as:
— Сonnect functionality to different channels: it can be a separate personal office or embed mashup into an existing personal office.
— Add information blocks, kiosks.
— Implement a mobile application or service integration with existing applications and systems.

With the Pega products, we can build a full customer experience and organize a convenient ecosystem: by connecting Heal App with Pega Marketing to attract users, and with Pega Customer Service to set up a call center to record patients, inform the public.
