Inspiration

I was travelling India and went to see a friend who was admitted in hospital. As i was checking about his well being i just happened to talk about the expense and it really shocked me that such beautiful hospitals with excellent surgeons and great beds are so inexpensive in India compared to USA. This prompted me to research the idea of USA and Europeans coming to India and other parts for medical tourism expecially in areas which their Insurance doesn't cover. As i was thinking about this i saw Bolt hackathon and just for fun happend to participate. But as i started to build the app and design it was so easy and fun i could hardly believe someone who has never been near tech could build an app using AI with just prompt.

What it does

Heal.Tours creates treatment packages with our International Hospitals and allows clients from USA and Europe to look at the cost and compare and give them concierge serves and book their stay and food so they show up for treatment and all hassles is handled by our concierge and us.

How we built it

It was just undestanding how the pages should look like and giving bolt detailed instruction on how pages should look like. it was just prompting and the AI suggested connecting to supabase as backend and i followed the instruction and created tables and just taking help from my chatgpt pro and a friend the entire app was built from scratch.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge we ran was only with Auth and connecting to google console and supabase to enable the auth. There was so many errors it consumed 80% of my tokens.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

What turned into a fun activity , turned into a full fledged business. As the app started to come through, we started to talk to hospitals putting together some cosmetic packages. We also found an investor who was very interested to invest and we are now close to building full app. If we get some extra tokens lol.

What we learned

woww sometimes its fun to participate and engage in new experience and you never know that potential it has . Like the bolt hackathon we didn't know i never being a techie can build app, a hospital visit can turn into a full fledge medical tourism idea and a talk with friends can land us with a serious investor who loves our idea.

What's next for Heal.Tours

Heal.Tours want to connect the world beyond treatments, its healing and getting people to fulfill their medical treatments at a fraction of cost in international hospitals with surgeons who have international experience. And clubbing this with holiday and relaxtion and healing adventures during their recovery time. Heal.Tours will seriously take treatments which arent covertd by insurance and make that a travel and treatment plan at a fraction of cost for USA and European clients.
