Inspiration

Our struggles with being distracted by our phones

What it does

Acts as an interactive study-buddy who will remind you to stay focused when you look at your phone

How we built it

We used several API's for the different functions of our program. We used ElevenLabs's speech-to-text and text-to-speech, Google's gemini for generative AI, and Open CV to track the user's face.

Challenges we ran into

Finding free API keys that still functioned well was difficult as many quality ones charge the user

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully implemented the usage of advanced head-tracking technology, used AI tools effectively

What we learned

We learned how to use different APIs for lots of different purposes.

What's next for HeadsUp!

Adding a UI and making the hotkeys work better would be a good start to furthering HeadsUp!
