Inspiration

It can be difficult for people to get help for mental illnesses, an average for 10 years. We wanted to provide a way to easily reach out and let people that they’re not alone, understand that there are others who have gone through similar experiences.

What it does

How we built it

We built everything in the Unity Engine using C# for scripts. We divided the work into art/model design, script writing, audio design, and event programming.

Challenges we ran into

Lack of time, wasting a lot of it on features that turned out to be useless.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to get a full game up and running within 24 hours with no previous experience in the Unity environment or with scripting.

What we learned

We all learned how to use Unity and program in C# in about a day, how to design models and apply shaders to textures and materials.

What's next for Headspace

We aim to expand our functionality to a more cathartic experience similar in style to Journey and Shape of the World.
