Our inspiration for this idea came from thinking about security and people losing each other or trying to find each other in a crowded area. The idea was to use the drone as a service so anyone could send the picture of the person they'd like to find in their geolocation and it would. It could also be used for situations such as, law enforcement using it for manhunts, search and rescue, etc.
Our web app allows the user to upload a photo of the person they are trying to find to the server. The artificial intelligence programmed allows the quadcopter to fly around analyzing the amount of people in the crowd and then scanning for faces using an online face recognition and identification API using the built in camera of the quadcopter. Once the person is found, the quadcopter will send that persons location on Google Maps to the sender of the photo via email.
