HazardsAI aims to combat natural catastrophes, especially some of the most frequent and destructive ones, through accurate disaster prediction using machine learning.

What it does

Our project is a web application that predicts information about hurricanes, blizzards, and earthquakes. Based off of images or inputted data from the user (temperature, precipitation, location, etc.) we implemented AI and ML mechanisms to anticipate relevant information and detect if more disasters might occur in the aftermath (ex: will a tsunami be likely after an earthquake in a certain area at a certain magnitude according to the Richter scale?)

How we built it

We used Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JS, and PHP for the website. Our work was handled through Github.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of creating a finished project for this hackathon! We learned a lot about natural disasters and refined our coding skills! We feel that HazardsAI solves a real world problem and could be used to predict information about natural disasters and potentially save lives!

What's next for HazardsAI

We hope to expand HazardsAI to predict more information on other types of natural disasters.
