Inspiration : Our Inspiration is to empower and support small businesses in building strong, recognizable brands that drive growth and long term success.
What it does : HaveABrand empowers small businesses to promote themselves and build valuable connections, fostering a strong network for growth and collaboration.
How we built it: We started by building the foundation of HaveABrand with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. For the backend, we used SQL and Node.js to keep things efficient and scalable, making sure small businesses get the best experience possible.
Challenges we ran into: Like with any project, we ran into a few bumps along the way. The biggest challenge was getting the front end and back end to work together since they were built on separate computers. Since we divided the work, syncing everything up took some extra effort, but we figured it out and made it happen!
Accomplishments that we're proud of : We're super proud of how we pulled everything together the design, the development, and most importantly, turning our idea into reality all in such a short amount of time. It wasn’t always easy, but seeing it all come to life so quickly makes it even more rewarding.
What we learned : We realized how important it is to stay patient and keep pushing through because nothing ever works perfectly on the first try. We spent hours debugging, coding, designing, and figuring out how to make everything come together. It was frustrating at times, but in the end, it taught us that persistence is everything.
What's next for HaveABrand : With increased resources and financial support, HaveABrand has the potential to make a significant impact on small businesses worldwide, helping those with limited marketing resources establish a strong brand presence and thrive in competitive markets.
