Inspiration
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people felt isolated, and they were struggling with their feeling of mental illness. Therefore, our team tried to implement a web page where people can get cared with their mental health or they can seek to help others.
What it does
Our web pages allow the users to take a test about how they are feeling today and receive a result of their level of depression. Based on their results on the level of depression, the users can ask to get help from other psychiatrists. From a psychiatrist's perspective, they could use our web page in order to search for people who really need help with their mental health and help them.
How we built it
We used the languages, HTML, CSS, and JS to create our front-end web pages, and we used Python, and its libraries, flask and Django to create the back-end of our web pages. We first visualized the overall structure of our web pages as a group, and then, we divided our roles into front-end and back-end to implement our web pages.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges when we had to design UI and visualize the structure of our web pages. In other words, it took us much time to figure out the ideas of our project and formulate the structure of our web pages. Therefore, we didn't have much time to handle the back end of our web pages.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We felt proud of our ideas on this project where the patients and psychiatrists could effectively interact with each other virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic. We were also proud of our team where we distributed our work efficiently, and each of us took responsibility to accomplish all of the assigned tasks.
What we learned
Through this Hackathon, we learned the significance of teamwork and communication when we tried to create our web pages as a team. Moreover, we learned how to think creatively when we tried to think of the projects we tried to implement for this Hackathon.
What's next for Have a Good Mental Health
By allowing people to interact with psychiatrists many times, we hope people could learn how to improve their mental health and maintain it healthy by themselves.
