How we built it

Our group was divided into two. We split ourselves into frontend and backend teams, with two of us working on each. We divided the job so that we could complete it efficiently and with good time management. We directed our attention where we thought it was most crucial. And we are very pleased with the outcomes of our work.

Challenges we ran into

At some point, we were not sure about what the app should accomplish. It took us a while before we could figure out how to incorporate sustainable lifestyle into the company's business model.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

In our group, we really love the idea for our product. We're proud that, in our view, our software platform is a one that truly every participating party benefits from using. We believe we have found an equilibrium between being usable and practical to customer, while at the same time providing business value. And that's what we find beautiful.

What we learned?

We have learned that one of the most crucial steps in creating new ideas is to identify a viable business model for them, in order for them to become more than a forgetful app.

What's next for Hauspals?

  • Expand from Solar Energy Loan plan to other services that could need payment plans, such as home redecoration.
  • Expand the accessibility of energy tracking, using IoT plugs to help users conveniently track energy, bringing in better chances to convert users to green energy.
  • We can use Natural Language Processing models (a branch of Artificial Intelligence) to make a chatbot so that house owners can ask any questions related to the solar panels loans(or any other services) instantly. Let's take this idea to a large blank canvas and put the ideas into action. Let's move on from the prototype to providing people with better services and unleash the full potential of the platform we have created.

Built With

We designed frontend with portability in mind, that's why we chose Flutter (developed by Google), which allowed us to build a beautiful app with relative ease, making it easily portable to all sorts of devices and operating Systems . Our backend runs on Python with the FastAPI package, which we have chosen based on it being a robust and reliable, while lightweight solution. Backend then further works with parsing some RSS readers, as well as the SQLite database.
