Inspiration
The Haunted Agents Marketplace was inspired by a recurring pain in modern development: every new stack requires different experts, repetitive configuration, and endless searching through docs and examples. I realized this problem while building everything entirely inside Kiro, exploring how far an IDE powered by agents could really go.
The question emerged:
What if a single skeleton could generate entire agent marketplaces, each mastering a different domain? From that idea came a reusable foundation capable of spawning unlimited specialized agents instantly.
What it does
Haunted Agents Marketplace provides a modular skeleton that can generate fully functional agent marketplaces from a single base. Built 100% inside Kiro, it allows you to create specialized agents for React, Supabase, DevOps, APIs, TDD, and more — all installable as “intelligent extensions.” It turns deep expertise into plug-and-play developer superpowers.
How we built it
The project was constructed entirely within Kiro, using its agent capabilities, modular hooks, TypeScript structure, and automation features. We designed a flexible skeleton architecture where marketplaces and agents are generated through configuration. The CLI handles installation and registration inside Kiro, proving that complex tooling can be built directly inside the IDE.
Challenges we ran into
Building a fully reusable skeleton that could support many specialized agent ecosystems — all inside Kiro — required balancing simplicity with power. Creating a unified architecture that scales to multiple domains, while keeping the developer experience smooth, led to several iterations.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud to have created a foundation capable of generating entire marketplaces from one skeleton — and to have done it entirely with Kiro. It demonstrates that Kiro isn’t just an IDE: it’s a platform where expert-level automation can be built, installed, and reused with one command.
What we learned
We learned how effective Kiro can be as a complete development environment for building agent ecosystems. The project revealed patterns for modularizing agents, orchestrating expertise, and packaging complex workflows inside a single, reusable structure.
What’s next for Haunted Agents Marketplace
Next steps include expanding with new agent packs (Next.js, AI orchestration, security, data engineering), adding marketplace publishing, improving documentation automation, and tracking how agents impact developer workflow — all continuing to be built and evolved directly inside Kiro.## Inspiration
