Hatefy

Inspiration

We, as a mankind, are the worst human beings all over the Earth. So - why bother with nice and tidy applications which let us, let's say, to 'Like' something? We need a tool to hate - Hatefy.

What it does

Hatefy allow You to make an account and then publish your bad, dirty and critical thoughts without any limits. You could browse hates published by other users and filter them by hashtags. However, the most exciting (and disgusting) part of Hatefy is achievements system. With Hatefy you're allow not only to express the darker side of your nature, you can be even granted for it! Feel free to insult everything you can imagine and discover amazing achievements like Rosemary's Baby or Daredevil!

How I built it

Primarily we decided to create this app with Django. None of us known Django so this task came out harder than we expected. Finally, we switched to Ruby on Rails.

Challenges I ran into

Django and RoR - none of us was familiar with them before AGHacks.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We prepared proof-of-concept and two prototypes of Hatefy.

What I learned

We all've learned a lot about Django and RoR.

What's next for Hatefy

We're going to detest it.
