Hate Speech Detection

In today's interconnected world, the internet is a powerful tool for sharing ideas, fostering connections, and facilitating open dialogue. However, it's also become a breeding ground for hate speech, discrimination, and cyberbullying. This toxic behavior not only erodes the positive aspects of online communities but also poses real-world harm to individuals. That's where hate speech detection comes in. Our story began with a friend of ours who observed such instances of hate speech on social media platforms such as X, Instagram, Facebook, etc. and became a victim once too. This type of activity had quite a negative impact on her usage of social media and hence her thinking about it. So, we decided to target this problem and developed this tool to help decrease such negativity and make social platforms much safer and pleasing to interact with and use.
