Inspiration

Hataraku Support AI was inspired by my experience working at an employment support center for people with disabilities. I realized that many workplace problems were caused not by a lack of ability, but by misunderstandings between the individual, the employer, and the support staff.

I wanted to create an AI tool that helps all three parties communicate more effectively and discuss better job assignments together.

What it does

Hataraku Support AI analyzes a person's strengths, challenges, preferred working conditions, and a company's job requirements.

It generates structured suggestions including:

  • Suitable job assignments
  • Task breakdowns
  • Reasonable workplace accommodations
  • Discussion points for the individual, employer, and support staff

It is designed as a communication support tool and does not provide medical diagnoses, disability certification, or hiring decisions.

How we built it

The application was built using:

  • Structured Outputs
  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Vercel

Structured Outputs ensure that every analysis follows the same format, making the results clear and consistent.

The OpenAI API key is securely managed on the server side and is never exposed to the browser.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was designing prompts that produce consistent and practical results.

Another challenge was ensuring that the application clearly supports communication without being interpreted as making medical or hiring decisions.

Balancing useful AI recommendations with responsible use was essential.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully created an application that connects people with disabilities, employers, and support staff through AI-generated workplace suggestions.

The project provides structured outputs that are easy to understand and encourages constructive discussions rather than evaluations.

What we learned

This project showed us that AI can do much more than automate work.

It can improve communication, support mutual understanding, and help people collaborate more effectively when designed responsibly.

What's next for Hataraku Support AI

We plan to continue improving the quality of the AI analysis and expand the application for use by employment support organizations and companies.

Future versions may include multilingual support, customizable workplace profiles, and additional collaboration features to help build more inclusive workplaces.
