Harvey Says Hello

Inspiration

This project was inspired by my best friend, who is a Suits fan. I've watched several scenes from the show, and I find the character quite fascinating.

What it does

It displays a random Harvey Specter quote every X minute, 5 minutes being the default repeat time and 1 minute being the minimum.

How we built it

The project was built using simple HTML and JavaScript - the standard tech stack for any frontend/Chrome extension. It contains JSON configuration files as well.

Challenges we ran into

Having to learn, understand, and debug JavaScript was the challenging part - adjusting the container to properly accommodate the text and having it handle errors instead of crashing.

What's next for Harvey Says Hello

We'll fix some bugs that sometimes prevent the extension from working after a reload. Then, we'll possibly have a cutout of Harvey slide in with the quote.
