💡 Our Inspiration
HarvestWise was born from a deep-seated motivation to solve a real-world problem, witnessed firsthand during the 2021 agricultural crisis in Sri Lanka. The national ambition to switch to 100% organic farming was noble, but it left our farmers without the necessary tools, knowledge, and resources to adapt. We saw the devastating impact this had on the cornerstones of our society.
This experience became our mission: to ensure that no farmer is ever left behind in the shift towards sustainability. We wanted to build the solution that was missing—a smart companion that makes sustainable practices not just possible, but also manageable and profitable.
Our Core Philosophy: We believe that the tools for success should be in every farmer's hands, free of charge. Farmers are the foundation of our communities, and empowering them empowers us all. Our goal is to provide powerful technology that serves them, not burdens them.

- Frontend: Developed with React 18 & TypeScript for a dynamic and type-safe UI, styled with Tailwind CSS. Icons by Lucide React.
- Backend & Database: Powered by Supabase, providing a PostgreSQL database, secure authentication, and storage.
- AI Services: Integrated with Google Gemini AI for intelligent planning and Google Vision API for advanced image analysis.
- Weather Data: Utilizes WeatherAPI for accurate, real-time weather information.
- Internationalization: Leverages Lingo.dev AI Translation for seamless multi-language support.
- Data Visualization: Employs Recharts for interactive and insightful charts and graphs.
- Rich Text Editing: Incorporates Tiptap Editor for a powerful content creation experience.
