HarvestLink: Turning Waste into a Meal

What it does

HarvestLink connects surplus food from restaurants, hotels, grocery stores and farmers to NGOs and Volenteers in real time. Donors can quickly report extra food , NHOs can claim it through a live dashboard and volunteers get optimised routes for pickup and delivery. The platform reduces food waste and helps delivery meals to communities in need.

How we built it

We built the app using Base44. Without any code.

Challenges we ran into

We faced many challenges while building the app the main problem was we could not get the location properly on the map.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of building our own first app which helps the people in need of food

What we learned

We learned many things like time management, how accurate we should work in limited time, team management etc.

What's next for HarvestLink: Turning Waste into a Meal

Make it fully functional without any bugs or glitches. To do so we required some guidence from the experienced persons.
