Growing up in a diverse community, I witnessed firsthand the beauty of different cultures and backgrounds coming together. However, I also became acutely aware of the challenges faced by individuals who were targeted based on their race, ethnicity, or other defining characteristics. These experiences ignited a desire within me to contribute meaningfully to the fight against prejudice and discrimination.
The tipping point for me was the disheartening statistics released by the FBI, indicating a significant increase in hate crimes in the U.S. between 2021 and 2022. The numbers reflected not just data but real stories of individuals who had become victims of intolerance. This propelled me to take action and leverage technology as a force for positive change.
