During COVID, everyone is on lockdown and cannot travel. With ART, we wanted to create a travel and learning experience that users can enjoy at home.

What it does

When the user visits our website, they will see some steps on how to use the map. There are two pinpoint types on the map - regular pinpoints and paw-shaped pinpoints. The regular pinpoints will create a content pop-up where users can scan a QR code to explore the city’s architecture with AR, and the paw-shaped pinpoints will have a QR code that brings a 3D model of the local animal to life. Users do not have to download any other app or create any other accounts to see the landmarks and animals with AR!

How we built it

We used EchoAR, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

Challenges we ran into

We changed our idea about halfway through TTS to make sure that we were integrating AR in the best way possible. That meant re-delegating some of our tasks and working on website development instead of game development in Unity.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud of integrating AR to create a free, easily accessible travel and learning experience for anyone!

What we learned

We learned how to integrate AR applications with websites and about the power of the cloud through echoAR that allows everyone to use AR to do awesome things.

What's next for ART

We hope to create immersive VR experiences to explore various cities or we can integrate audio for various animals to enhance learning and exploring through ART!
