Inspiration
The inspiration behind Harmony Guard stemmed from the need to foster a more positive and respectful online environment, combating negativity and hate speech.
What it does
Harmony Guard is a browser extension designed to filter out hate speech and negative language from web content, promoting a more harmonious online experience.
How I built it
I built Harmony Guard using JavaScript, leveraging Chrome's extension framework to scan and replace offensive language and hate speech with censored content in real-time.
Challenges I ran into
One of the main challenges was fine-tuning the language processing to accurately identify and censor negative words without impacting the user experience.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
I am proud to have developed an effective tool that contributes to making online spaces more inclusive and respectful for everyone.
What's next for Harmony Guard
In the future, I aim to expand Harmony Guard's capabilities by integrating machine learning models for more accurate detection of negative sentiment. Additionally, Iplan to support multiple languages to cater to a broader audience.
