Inspiration

Conventional music discovery platforms- Spotify, Youtube Music, Billboard Top Charts- inherently fuel the homogenization of music, a phenomenon where trending songs are increasingly driven by formulaic means of production instead of organic creative endeavors. From industry leaders and indie creators, artists increasingly feel pressure to conform to what works, and by doing so they compromise their creative niche.

Harmonize was designed to be a user-focused app. Instead of relying on streaming numbers as a success metric, Harmonize focuses on creating a listening experience tailored to each user's preferences. Our vision is to create a platform to promote organic music discovery and promote the diversification of music.
