Inspiration
We observed that many women dealing with PCOD, severe PMS, or general menstrual pain were overwhelmed. They track their periods in one app, their diet in another, and their mood in a journal.
What it does
We mainly focused on: Chronic Hormonal Conditions: Women managing PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease) and severe PMS often receive fragmented advice. Effective management requires correlating complex data points—mood, pain, diet, and irregular cycles—something existing trackers fail to integrate holistically. Pregnancy Management: New and expecting mothers often feel overwhelmed by generic advice and lack a centralized, supportive tool for tracking personalized vitals (like specific pain location, sleep positions, and checklist reminders).
How we built it
Our project was built and executed rapidly using the Base44 framework principles, ensuring a minimalist, highly functional, and aesthetically-driven core.
Challenges we ran into
The Core Problem: Ambiguity in High-Potential Scope The initial challenge was not a lack of ideas, but the difficulty in strategically scoping and translating a high-potential, multi-faceted concept into a single, executable hackathon mandate.
Accomplishments that we're proud that we created a single, supportive platform—Harmonia—that provides personalized insights and actionable advice by connecting lifestyle inputs (mood and food) with physical outputs (pain and cycle data), delivered through an exceptionally user-friendly interface.
What we learned
We discovered that for sensitive health applications, design is not merely decorative; it is functional. The calming pastel palette, smooth animations, and user-friendly interface were critical to overcoming a major barrier in health tech: user anxiety and logging fatigue.
What's next for Harmonia
Integrate with standard wearables (e.g., smartwatches) to allow for passive data collection (sleep quality, resting heart rate, activity levels). This automatically enriches the user's data profile with minimal effort. Explore partnerships with certified health professionals (midwives, nutritionists) to offer direct, scheduled in-app consultations or verified Q&A sessions, establishing Harmonia as a full-service platform.
