Harmoni

Inspiration: As students who experienced academic struggles, we want others to have the support in their daily lives. We felt the need for a website which allows students to have a direct chat with health field professionals such as mental health experts. We felt like many students don't feel comfortable showing their face nor letting their voice be heard, which is why the chats remain 100% anonymous and 100% free!

What it does

Using a calendar, the students can reserve a time slot in order to live chat with a psychologist. It's anonymous since some students don't feel comfortable showing themselves.

How we built it

We used Loveable to write the code, including some designs. For images, we used OpenArt to create the logo and the pictures of the psychologists. Lovable was a big source of inspiration, on top of which we customized its code to fit with our design choices, along with component-based libraries like shadcn. We also integrated a backend in ExpressJS with an sqlite file-based database to store the user information and the chats.

Challenges we ran into

The login system took way longer than expected because we had to implement two types of accounts. Picking a simple yet functional design architecture was especially complicated as well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of creating this unique website that works in general. Also, we're proud to come up with all these ideas in a short period of time.

What we learned

We learned how to use Loveable which allowed us to save coding time. We also learned to work effectively as a team.

What's next for Harmoni

We could be in contact with real psychologists to offer a good service.
