Inspiration
Most people don’t know what to do in case of common health-related emergencies—we wanted to change that.
What it does
Our project gives people a quick and accessible way to learn about what to do in common health related emergencies. Our app not only shares what to do but also encourages people to truly learn with positive reinforcement and visual appeal.
How we built it
Our team built an interface on Java, using visuals made in Ibis Paint X.
Challenges we ran into
Our team went in blind to Pluto Hacks (no prior hackathon or team building experience), and therefore learned how to do things as we went. This cost us a lot of time, however, we managed to conjure a final product. Our language being java posed difficulty as none of us had a complete Java experience or education.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that no matter how hard this challenge got, we managed to complete all the goals we had set for ourselves in the beginning of the challenge.
What we learned
Apart from learning all the basics of Java and its utilities, we achieved better communication skills and realized just how much we could push ourselves to the limit.
What's next for Hare2Help (H2H)
We hope to expand to mobile and web apps so that those who join our interface get the chance to learn and memorize important maneuvers that may save others' lives.
