Inspiration
The idea for Harchive came from a deeply personal challenge. Last year, when my sister urgently needed care, the repetitive and inefficient processes at every hospital we visited nearly cost her life. This eye-opening experience drove me to create a solution that could prevent others from suffering due to similar systemic failures in healthcare.
What it does
Harchive is a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform providing a suite of digital healthcare solutions, including an Electronic Health Record (EHR), Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), and an AI copilot. These tools are designed to automate processes and improve efficiency for hospitals and health centers, ultimately enhancing healthcare quality.
How we built it
Harchive is currently in the pilot phase, being shaped actively by real-world applications and feedback from healthcare professionals. We have launched a pilot program, collaborating closely with hospitals to tailor the platform to meet real-world needs. Key components of our software, such as the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and AI copilot, are currently being tested in clinical settings.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating Harchive into the varied environments of different healthcare facilities has been challenging. Ensuring that the system can seamlessly fit into the technological setups of hospitals, from small clinics to large medical centers, has been one of our biggest challenges. The system needs to be user-friendly enough for any hospital staff to start using it without extensive training, yet powerful enough to meet the complex demands of modern healthcare. Balancing cost-effectiveness with advanced functionality remains a primary focus as we continue with our pilot tests.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
One of our most significant accomplishments with Harchive is the high acceptance rate of our platform among healthcare providers. Hospitals have not only shown a willingness to adopt our system but have also actively participated in user research to help us refine and improve it. The positive feedback we've received from these healthcare facilities has been incredibly motivating. This reception validates our efforts and highlights the trust and value they see in Harchive, driving us forward as we continue to develop and enhance our platform.
What we learned
The development process has been an eye-opener to the complexities of healthcare operations. Working hand-in-hand with medical professionals, we've gained insights into their daily challenges and what they need most from technology. This collaboration has been key in shaping a platform that not only addresses the inefficiencies but does so in a way that feels natural and supportive to those on the front lines of healthcare.
What's next for Harchive
Pilot Program
We aim to bring Harchive to 20 healthcare facilities and start working closely with insurance companies. This phase allows us to test Harchive in real-world settings, tweaking it to ensure it effectively meets the needs of hospitals and clinics.
Growing Bigger and Partnering Up (Year 2)
Next year, we’re planning to reach out to even more facilities—our goal is to work with 100 of them. A big step for us will be teaming up with the Nigerian Ministry of Health. This partnership will help us spread Harchive across Nigeria. We’ll also add new features that allow hospitals to dig deep into their data to improve how they work.
Switching to a Subscription Model and Going Nationwide (Year 3)
By the third year, we hope Harchive will be a familiar name in many hospitals. We'll start charging a subscription fee, which marks a big change as we move from testing our service to making it a regular part of hospital routines. Our aim is to have over 1000 healthcare facilities using Harchive.
To really get the word out, we’ll launch marketing campaigns that tell the stories of hospitals that have seen big improvements by using Harchive. We also plan to show up at major healthcare and tech events across Nigeria and beyond, making sure everyone knows what Harchive can do.
