Inspiration - Small Islands and coastal areas often have a lack of water. We have seen this in person in the coastal parts of India where despite being surrounded by water, they still have little access to clean water. So, we decided to take initiative in order to help out places like these.
What it does - HappyWater is a water allocation app where residents can communicate to officials their lack of water. They can also request for water through our app.
How we built it - We designed HappyWater through VS Code.
Challenges we ran into - We ran into bugs in our app and we needed to spend a lot of time debugging it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of - We perservered throughout the hackathon and spent hours perfecting our app and presentation.
What we learned - We learned how to use VS Code and learned front end and back end development.
What's next for HappyWater - We hope to actually put this app into use and connect residents and official to eachother.
