Inspiration
Many platforms allow us to meet people with different way and on specific time. A big part of people in the world are actually at home working, binging or just doing nothing. This is why we thought about a giant game dedicated to people at home.
What it does
Happy Hour allows you to meet people randomly 10km away from you. Fight Social Distancing by Socializing
How we built it
We used a TokBox API on an Amazon Servor to release the platform.
Challenges we ran into
In this global crisis, as we are locked down we need to share our experiences and keep socializing. We are all in this together. As we are locked down in our own space, we should open our circle, meet other people, talk, laugh and dance, randomly without any other expectation than having fun.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Crafting a random video match platform from nothing in a short time to entertain people and keep them having fun in this global crisis.
What we learned
Working in a short period of time with another person (met in Spark Hackathon at Facebook london in november) in another country really fluently
What's next for Happy Hour
Happy Hour will be a global platform aware people can hangout. Daily meeting with strangers 10km away from them they don't know yet.
Additional features like gaming modules, more than 2 people in a room, Open just during Happy Hour time (4 hours per day)
