Inspiration

It's MLH's 7th birthday this weekend! I thought I'd celebrate by making a website :)

What it does

A radical, horizontal-scrolling website to commemorate the 7-year-old MLH! Longest domain online! (63 chars + . + "online" makes 70 chars --> exactly 10 times the age of MLH!) The horizontal scrolling means that the Devpost gallery looks exactly like the website!

Domain.com submission for best domain prize: happy-7th-birthday-to-mlh-from-the-longest-possible-domain-name.online

How I built it

With an HTML5 Up template, hosted on GitHub Pages. Involved gradient madness.

Challenges I ran into

Getting the gradients to look right took forever! Also ns propagation took hours.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Getting the gradients to look right, including one block with a 5-way gradient.

What I learned

Why devs don't write CSS from scratch if they can avoid it unless they have to.

What's next for Happy Birthday MLH from the longest domain name online

The laptop image that disappears on mobile needs to be fixed.
