Inspiration

I wrote a book on how to improve your life in the most rapid ways possible, and used the chapter on happiness to form this song.

What it does

Attempts to teach people to be happier in a positive, uplifting, and fun way. It also attempts to prove by example that you can learn to be happier.

Challenges we ran into

It is hard to write a song that teaches something profound. There are a lot of subtle messages in the song, but to do this, a few forced rhymes were needed. Also, the rhyme scheme is three rhymes in a row, which is unusual and slightly more challenging to write.

How we built it

We get a reference picture for each character, and a file full of text descriptions for scenes and characters, and generate a still. We'll iterate on prompts recursively until we arrive at outcomes we like. The resulting image is then often edited before we convert it to a video. Often, video clips are cropped or adjusted, and sometimes we use more extreme editing techniques.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

strong positive message and genuinely helpful, it was made right at the start of the judging period on a very low budget, and was one of the first AI videos we made. We believe it was extremely advanced for the time it was made.

What we learned

This was a highly experimental project and a lot of fun. Writing about happiness, of course, helps you learn this, and as an early project, I learnt a lot of songwriting and matching the music with the animation.
