Inspiration

Inspiration was taken from online groups dedicated to posting uplifting memes. We wanted to add a surprise element by having the generator and be accessible without making an account.

What it does

Our random generator gives you a positive meme from our stellar meme database that you can also share with your friends and family.

How I built it

We built it by referencing online forums and the knowledge we gained from the Hackathon workshops, we used Repl.it (html, js, css). We specifically referenced https://www.javatpoint.com/random-image-generator-in-javascript.

Challenges I ran into

We ran into many challenges as it was our first time coding a website. For example, we were not sure how to change the position of the image and we sought help from a mentor.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We were able to complete something and submit a project!

What I learned

We learned how to work with css and html for the first times, exploring the creation of css classes and its effects on the html. We're proud of the scalability the website has and is able to be accessed on mobile and websites.

What's next for happi memes

make more people happi! We can develop cookies that can be sent out and it’ll be like a check-in, where a user can send you a cookie, and you can send one back. Even attach a message or select the flavour of a cookie, as each different one will have a separate meaning. For instance, a chocolate raisin cookie will mean you ain’t feeling like today's your day.
