HandymanAI started as a concept for using smart glasses to provide hands-free guidance for DIY projects and home improvement tasks. As we developed the idea, we saw a broader opportunity: using AI and wearable technology to support skilled trades training and help address the ongoing labor shortage across the trades.
With RevenueCat, we expanded HandymanAI from a smart-glasses concept into a subscription-enabled Android application supporting Meta Ray-Ban Display smart glasses and SPECS. The Android app launched in September 2026. Our RevenueCat-enabled iOS app is currently awaiting App Store approval.
HandymanAI combines AI-powered troubleshooting with interactive training experiences designed for skilled trades such as electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. Users can access guidance from their phone or use supported smart glasses for a more hands-free experience.
Our next steps are to explore how HandymanAI can support workers directly on job sites and expand our subscription model with additional tiers for individual training, businesses, schools, and other workforce development use cases.
We encourage users to try HandymanAI and share their feedback. Businesses, trade schools, workforce development organizations, and other groups interested in running a pilot can contact us through our website to explore working together.
