While recovering from an injury two years ago, I had trouble finding accessible NYC subway information as I struggled to and from work and doctor appointments.

I wanted to create an app that could get ADA accessible subway station information into the hands of more people more quickly. My friends Matt, Aaron and Thomas all put in a ton of work to make HandiMap a reality.

Our target user is anyone who needs accessible subway information. We hope that HandiMap will help people with mobility issues, both New Yorkers and visitors alike.

We are especially proud of our simple, easy-to-use interface. HandiMap takes MTA station accessibility and outage information and stores it on your phone, so a user doesn't lose access to this information when underground.
