Hand Therapy

Inspiration

We wanted to build a tool that allows patients to help hand and wrist rehabilitation by giving them feedback and outputting message of guidance based on it. We also wanted to make exercise program more customizable by making the user to test different postures beforehand and start with one they most struggle with.

What it does

Detects whether you are open handed or closed and gives feedback to users.

How I built it

Leap Motion to detect the level of grabbing and using python GUI to interact with users

Challenges I ran into

We tried to first train the data using machine learning with position data collected through actually moving around hands in different postures in front of Leap motion camera, but the trained model was too inconsistent to use.
