Inspiration

HAND MATRIX was inspired by the idea of creating a simple and interactive way to control digital visuals using hand movements. We wanted to explore how computer vision and hand tracking can make human-computer interaction more natural and engaging.

How We Built It

We built HAND MATRIX as a web-based interactive project using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The project uses the camera to detect hand movements and creates real-time visual effects based on the user's gestures. The interface combines hand tracking with dynamic particle effects to create an interactive experience.

How It Works

The camera captures the user's hand movements. The hand-tracking system detects the hand and its position, and the application responds to the movement by changing the visual effects on the screen. Different hand gestures can create different interactive patterns and animations.

Challenges We Faced

One of the main challenges was making the hand tracking work smoothly in real time. We also had to improve the visual effects and make sure the interaction remained responsive while using the camera.

What We Learned

Through this project, we learned more about computer vision, hand tracking, JavaScript, real-time interaction and creating interactive web experiences. We also learned how to combine technology and creative design to build an engaging project.

Future Improvements

In the future, we would like to add more hand gestures, more interactive controls, better gesture recognition and additional visual effects.
