Inspiration

Throughout my school years, anxiety hindered me from openly discussing my challenges with teachers. The lack of communication impeded personal and collective growth. Recognizing the widespread impact, I decided to address this issue. Believing that teachers, like students, benefit from feedback, I initiated a solution to enhance teaching practices, cultivating a positive educational environment

What it does

It allows the student to rate their teacher based on different characteristics which is utilized by school administration to rank their teaching professionals, often motivating the teachers to grow.

How we built it

In a collaborative effort involving four developers and intrapreneurs, we dedicated 36 hours to building a full-stack progressive web app using JavaScript. Overcoming challenges with innovative solutions, we successfully delivered a robust and functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

Challenges we ran into

We had quite an adventure building this project, and it came with its fair share of challenges. We worked late nights, grappling with stubborn bugs, determined to get every detail right. The ticking clock, with only 36 hours on it, added a sense of urgency, pushing us to manage our time wisely and overcome hurdles. Despite the sleepless nights and pressure, our team's dedication shone through, leading us to triumph in crafting a top-notch, full-stack progressive web app in JavaScript (Next JS).

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the product we built, of course. Apart from that, the collaborative spirit our team has built over those freezing 36 hours has proven that we will take any difficulties to take Hamro Teacher to heights. I also learned not just technicalities but also the social life with fellow coders. The network and connections I built with others in the hackathon are going to last long!

What's next for Hamro Teacher

In the future, we can expand and sell this SaaS to different schools. We may transcend from an idea to a nationally recognized metric to rank teachers with consent from the Nepal government.
