Inspiration

Around 481000 accidents in the US only are caused by distracted drivers. We want drivers to be more aware of their environment by hiding non-essentiel informations on the car control panel.

What it does

Shows/ hides widgets on cars control panel depending on the environment.

How we built it

We put in relation Public rest API's along with CAN Data from the car to evaluate the dangerous sections of the road. Once these sections have been identified, we hide certain parts of the car's control panel so that the driver will not be disturbed by them.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting different data sources and deciding when it's appropriate to drive and non appropriate.
