Inspiration

What's the biggest challenge facing us today? What environmental issue unites Israel, Iran, the US, and China? Water over-consumption - and its knock-on-effects, including desertification, crop mismanagement, and more - is perhaps the single most critical eco-economic issue facing us today. Thus, to drive down consumption without fundamentally attacking the standard of living that citizens of 1st world countries are already used to is our goal.

What it does

The HALO Aerator uses a custom smart aerator/filter to maintain the volume of water outputted by a traditional faucet, while decreasing the actual water used. It does this, essentially, by injecting a certain amount of air into the outgoing stream. The technology is proven (and quite old) - the innovation comes from updating this 20th century invention for the 21st, by connecting it to a system of existing Smart Home devices (Alexa, Google Home), as well as an app on your phone (Bluetooth or Wifi) to monitor water usage, set conservation goals, track your progress, save on water bills, and more.

What's next for Halo

With recognition and funding, we can prototype and launch our hardware product at scale, as well as hire additional front-end and back-end developers to build out portions of the mobile app. Our goal: market domination of a global high-end faucet market worth almost 20 billion, with a CAGR of seven and a half percent, and virtually no existing competitors in this space.
