Hakinator Project Story

Inspiration

Hakinator was inspired by the classic Akinator game. We wanted to recreate that experience and explore how a system can narrow down answers through simple questions.

What We Learned

We learned how to handle dynamic user input, manage application flow, and integrate external tools like Puppeteer to automate interactions.

How We Built It

We built Hakinator as a full-stack application, using Puppeteer on the backend to interact with the Akinator system and a frontend to display questions and responses to the user.

Challenges We Faced

One of the main challenges was getting Puppeteer to reliably communicate with the external service and handling errors when responses failed or broke the flow.

Note: Puppeteer doesn't work with published netlify.
