Inspiration
Our main inspiration of this project other than helping people have a better hajj experience is that we got a lot of feedback from our medical family members were complaining about not having the necessary medical background to help their patients and that was causing a lot of delays and major health issues with them. Therefore, we came up with The HajjCare Program.
How I built it
The project is built using Swift and Java, Java being the data entry software which we are going to use to do some deep analyses to help identify pilgrims that need closer attention or better health care. However, swift was used for developing an attractive interface that can help first aid personnel find all kinds of information about the pilgrim to help aid him in a fast and efficient way.
Challenges I ran into
the main problem we where trying to work on is that in the case of bad internet which is common assuming that the internet was acting up with only 3000 people how would the internet act if there were 2 million people so for that use are using the java application to soon be able to have the whole database localized so that bad internet won't affect the process of helping people in need. the second problem we ran into was the database and to figure out how to make it work normally across two different programming languages.
What's next for HajjCare
next is that we work more on the deep analysis part of HajjCare to be able to tell programs that need that extra attention with the help of some doctors, and the next thing is that eventually, we be able to transform this project into something that can help the entire world instead of the just hajj although helping hajj is an important aspect of it. Last but not least we are going to work on a solution which we have an idea to help first aid care providers know exactly where is the person that needs help using some floating objects or using drones integrated to the application.
