Inspiration

We're all very glad to inform you that this particular project is very near and dear to our hearts Inspired by helping and making a positive change in the world. and implimenting new and revolutionary technologies "Augmented reality" into the experience, making it better and much more pleasant for all whether it be Authority or Haji

What it does

It has to do with our very own struggle in the life of navigating new and exciting teritorries, Mekka being the most exciting of all is our main focus, and more importantly finding your own assissted way through TRANSPORTATION; WASTE MANAGEMENT and HOUSING

How we built it

Using already existing technology that's available to all, and the AR provided by Google, we transcended the use of VR to take it from simple entertainement to enriching the experience of any and all who come in contact with the app in pretty much any field of study, pilgrims especially.

Challenges we ran into

Of course in a hackathon we ran into some pretty demanding challenges, prioritising and using what we already knew was the most important thing to do. Upon annoucing "A single-function-at least" we used all of our resourses together and pulled it off 1 hour before the inspector was on his rounds. Safe to say, we impressed him and we impressed who he brought with him. The enthusiasm shown in the video above was fueled by the impressiveness that they showed just after seeing it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Both my teammates and I are proud of what we have accomplished both on this project and on previous ones, Younes Haouzi (Android Developer) developed using Arduino parts a fully functional doctor assistant and an android app to support his project, and Abdelhak Miloudi (Designer) developed a search engine that can detect what the picture contains, whether it be colors, people or objects. And I developed a desktop application for managing the sales and distribution of different production using the RMI method.

What we learned

What's next for HajjAugmented

What we see next is the complete elimination of relatively heavy devices "Android Devices" and the implementation of Augmented devices which are cost effective AND fairly easy to hold/use. And THAT is our 2030 Vision!
