Solution
Our platform will provide one single of truth to pilgrims throughout the whole journey starting at the time of leaving home to the return safely. Based on the pilgrims journey, will provide needed information to Hajj, assisting them throughout the tenants of pilgrimage On the other hand, the platform provides developers with variety of enablers to collaboration and innovation. We have meet these days at the hackathon thousands of brains that starving to build, design and develop solutions to pilgrims. This inspired as to provide a different tools for millions of brains from the whole world who also would love to participate remotely.
Platform
We built using angular.js as a frontend framework, and node.js as a backend server. A middleware layer to host/provide APIs can be consumed by developers to develop hajj related solutions. Machine learning tools layer will also be built to analyze and learn more to provide smart solutions.
Some difficulties to obtain solid information about the whole hajj process and service providers.
Rare opportunities to meet seniors executive and get the buy-in.
Integrating different providers in order to deliver wide of information to the customers.
Team work
One of the benefits of being in such a tight schedule is to learn how to think out of the box. Team work can achieve the impossible.
The Future
Meeting with concerned people gathering required information to design the solutions. Since we are adopting agile project management, we plan to launch new services as they are ready, and provide improvements cycle. We will start with 5 services / features which will be chosen based on predefined criteria.
