Hairstyle Try On - GlamurAI

Inspiration

We saw an opportunity to modernize the hairstyle try-on experience using AI. Existing apps often felt clunky, unrealistic, or overwhelmed with ads. GlamurAI was created to offer a fast and highly realistic way for users to experiment with both hairstyles and hair colors.

What it does

GlamurAI lets you try on different hairstyles and hair colors in seconds using generative AI. You just upload a selfie, pick from styles like bangs, bobs, ponytails, or layered cuts, and see how you’d look with shades ranging from natural blonde to bold pink or blue. The results are ultra-realistic and surprisingly fun—great for decision-making or just sending your friends a new look for laughs.

How we built it

We built GlamurAI with React Native and Expo to keep development smooth across iOS and Android. RevenueCat handles our subscriptions and purchases cleanly. Under the hood, we use a set of generative AI models for style and color transformations. One of the biggest goals was to keep things fast and responsive, so we put a lot of work into optimizing image processing without compromising quality.
